We recognize that it's difficult to get outside climbing! Who do you go with? What if you're new to climbing or climbing outside? What if you've only climbed indoors? Where do you go?! What do you bring?!
We got you! We're kicking off our annual outdoor bouldering meetups, Out Here Meet-Ups: A low-key outdoor bouldering meet-up meant to get you out and with community!
Notes:
In 2019 we ran a Climbing Outdoors 101 workshop that was so successful that we were inspired to start a women/gender-non-conforming (GNC) only climbing club! Climbing is a wonderful sport, but a difficult one to break into especially if you're new. We're a group of climbers that don't take it so seriously. We like to have fun, be supportive no matter what your climbing abilities, and hold space for women and GNC folks in our climbing community through discounted meet-ups, helpful workshops, and good vibes <3
Our organization runs on the stolen and ancestral territories of four Coast Salish First Nations: The xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), səlil̓ilw̓ətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh), and the kʷikʷəƛw̓əm (Kwikwetlem).
We will send a packing list ahead of the meet-up (bring water, climbing shoes, snacks/lunch, layers, etc), but please email us if you need anything!
We will provide some pads (although if you have your own, please bring!) and light instruction x

Refund Policy: Tickets are transferable, but unfortunately not refundable at The Bad Academy. We're a crazy small organization and operate on razor-thin margins, and as much as we'd like to account for life getting in the way, we have been burned too many times by no-shows, and last-minute refund requests etc. If you'd like to transfer your ticket to a friend, please email us at hello@thebadacademy.com with the name and email of the person taking your place, and we'll make sure to make the appropriate changes!
