The Bad Academy x Rolla Skate Club
Valentine’s Day has historically been a day for lovers, but we couldn’t think of a better time to say FUCK THAT and love on ourselves instead! We’re so excited for The Bad Academy and Rolla Skate Club to come together for this very special workshop all about self-pleasure and love.
What constitutes a healthy sex life?
Is my body normal?
How do I experience self-pleasure?
How do I improve my sex life?
Our experts will answer all your burning questions (anonymously!), and show you all the toys that might be for you! We’ll also be discussing the basics of a healthy, happy sex life whether it be with yourself or with a partner or partners. Please join us for a celebration of YOU and YOUR BODIES! Time to go love yourself.
Open to all cis and trans women, and non-binary people who are comfortable in a space that centres the experiences of women.
Dr. Ashleigh Turner (She/Her) is a clinical sexologist, with a Doctorate in Human Sexuality, as well as the Communications Director for Options for Sexual Health. Providing access to information and education so that folks can have happy and well-functioning sex lives is her passion. Her personal mission is to create spaces, places, and opportunities for access for everyone to help people have the sex life they desire!
Kat Stark (They/Them), the non-binary sex-positive, geeky, queer, bisexual, feminist, pervert author of Yelling In Pasties: The Wet Coast Confessions of an Anxious Slut and Waking Up Polyamorous, absolutely loves sex toys. They love collecting them, talking about them, and using them in both their solo play and with their partners.
They will use their extensive knowledge and personal toy chest to walk you through the basic types of toys (vibrators, dildos, butt plugs, suction devices, and accessories like harnesses and lube). They don't believe that there is any one "best toy" but will give you tips on how to pick the toys that will work the best for you based on how your body and orgasms work. They'll also talk about toy safety--how to avoid toxic materials and what things are safe to insert where.
