As women, we get to experience a special kind of tired (Thanks, Patriarchy! We hate it!!) day-to-day, and although we try and focus on our jobs, the people, and things in our lives, we're often left without time to think clearly about our basic needs as humans. How can sleep be one of the most important but least understood aspects of our lives when it directly affects our mental, physical, and emotional health?

We've enlisted sleep expert, Jolan Holmes to guide us though one of the worst seasons for sleep (the dreaded daylight savings time) with her informative expertise on sleep! She'll be answering questions like:
Why am I sleepy all day and never sleepy when I actually need to go to bed?
How is my environment and bed affecting my sleep quality?
How do I know I'm getting good sleep?
How do things like diet, hormones, and stress impact our quality of sleep?

Jolan Holmes (She/Her) has over 20 years’ experience working with adults, families and children when it comes to getting better sleep. Jolan is a registered Clinical Counsellor and a certified sleep consultant through the Family Sleep Institute and is passionate about supporting people to better understand how sleep impacts their every day life and strategies to support them in getting the sleep they need. She is currently a senior sleep consultant for Good Night Sleep Site.
