We recorded this workshop when the pandemic first began. Many of us were stuck at home, unsure of what might happen in the outside world. We were pleasantly surprised at how much fun we had starting our own gardens at home, even if we didn't have a ton of space. In this 4-part series, We're going to go over all the basics of how to start and grow your own garden no matter how much space you have! Whether you're interested in growing a whole new hobby, or just interesting in sharpening your plant knowledge, this is a great place to start!

City Beet Farm was born from a commitment between two farmers and a community of homeowners. Today, they grow a wide diversity of vegetables and flowers on a network of 13 front and backyards in the Mount Pleasant and Riley Park neighbourhoods of Vancouver, BC. Since we recorded, City Beet Farm has sold to a new partnership, but Maddy and Elena still remain great friends to each other and to the land we farm on!
