About The Workshop

Book Binding 101

July 27th, 2025, 1-4p - Progression Bouldering Cafe, 275 East 10th avenue, Vancouver, BC.

Come learn the amazing world of book binding with the Bad Artists Club! Writing in a journal is something many of us do on a daily basis, but have you ever considered not only writing in a journal, but making one?!

Just as your recorded thoughts and ideas are deeply personal and creative, making a book is also a powerful and very satisfying craft to express yourself! Come join the Bad Artists Club at the beautiful cafe located in Progression Climbing Gym (no admission to the gym needed) located in the heart of Mount Pleasant!

We will be using mostly recycled and found materials and all materials and tools are provided! You'll walk away with a new journal and maybe some new friends :)

Optional: if you have any special materials you’d like to decorate your book with (ie. stickers, photos, magazine cut-outs, etc.) please feel free to bring them!

Notes:

  • If you are a climber, the Bad Climbers Club will be hosting a climbing meetup (no experience needed!) beginning at 9:30a. Sign up here.
  • All cafe goodies will be at a 15% discount for students of this workshop!
