Will you provide gear?
We have limited boards available for people to borrow. If you'd like to borrow one, please message Late Bloomers Skate Club on Instagram (@latebloomersskateclub) or by email (latebloomersskateclub@gmail.com) so that we can bring one for you. We will do our best to have as many boards available for all participants, but we highly encourage you to bring your own if you are able.
If you're new to skating, we strongly recommend that you bring a helmet and pads for the session. Late Bloomers will have some spare safety gear to borrow that are first come first serve, but sizing will not be guaranteed, so please also bring your own if you have them.
Late Bloomers Skate Club is a women-founded and beginner-focused skateboarding group that supports people of all ages, genders, bodies, and abilities on their skating journey. Whether it's your first time on a board, or are getting back into it later in life, we're here to create a welcoming and safe environment for you to learn together, meet fellow late bloomers, and encourage you to take up space in Vancouver's skate community!

Refund Policy: Tickets are transferable, but unfortunately not refundable at The Bad Academy. We're a crazy small organization and operate on razor-thin margins, and as much as we'd like to account for life getting in the way, we have been burned too many times by no-shows, and last-minute refund requests etc. If you'd like to transfer your ticket to a friend, please email us at hello@thebadacademy.com with the name and email of the person taking your place, and we'll make sure to make the appropriate changes!
